Reclaimed wood is recycled from a variety of sources, especially older buildings. Reusing salvaged wood is environmentally friendly and adds to the sustainability of our natural resources. Reclaimed wood is valued for its uniqueness. It is perfectly imperfect, age having produced characteristics such as nail and bolt holes, bug holes, water and mineral staining, checking and open knots. Boards have to be inspected and placed carefully to highlight and preserve these traits.
